My new macbook should be arriving any day now. I’m wondering what software and accessories i should get. So far, I’ve got a screen protector, hard shell case, keyboard guard, ms office, skype, notebook 3.0 and adobe cs4 and iwork 09. What else would be good?

MacBook Pro Question???

I am going to be buying a macbook pro..probably a 13in. or a 15in. Anyway, I am not very familiar with the accessories or programs that comes with it, or that one has to buy. Does microsoft word, and other programs like that come already on it? Or do I have to pay extra for them? Also, is iLife included, or not? Thanks :)

admin answers:

You have to pay extra for just about anything I think. Sometimes they package iLife with the computer but that’s often on older models. You should just ask the sale person.

Maria asks…

Black Macbook vs. Macbook Pro?

Hi. I am looking to buy a laptop soon. The two laptops that I am looking at are the Black Macbook and the Macbook Pro. Both I configured with the 2.2ghz processor. I wanted to use the laptop for video editing and photo editing as well. I am worried that the normal Macbook will not be to able handle the video editing. I know that the Macbook Pro will be able to handle the editing on the other hand, but it also costs a lot more.If I bought the Black Macbook I was planing on using the extra money to upgrade the memory and buy some more accessories for it .

So which laptop do you think will suit my needs best?

admin answers:

I would get the macbook! Save that money and buy extras trust me i have both! And theres no real difference! And plus the new 2.2 macbooks are faster then the 2.2 macbook pros in all other performances except for gaming! Chubosau is an idoit!

MacBook Pro 13 Inch. *EASY 10 POINTS*?

I’m planning on getting the new MacBook Pro 13″ in a few months. (July/August)
I just have a few questions:

1) What’s the pro‘s about this computer?

-I will be using it for it’s battery life and for the light weight since I’ll be carrying it around school. Plus I’m also probably dual enrolling in college courses and AP classes. This will be my senior year. I also will be using it for picture editing as photography is one of my side hobbies.

2) What are the cons?

3) What are some accessories that are must haves?

4) Should I pay an extra 350$ for a solid state hard drive?

By the way I already own a mac…an iMac so I do know that I like the computer system, way better than PC’s…So I don’t need anyones “Mac’s are pieces of crap” smart a** remarks.

Any extra comments that comply with the new MacBook Pro 13” would be great.

admin answers:

The pros about Macs, whew, there’s alot….
Good hardware
excellent software as well
if you have the extra money I would certainly try the solid state drive.
Don’t have to have internet protection suite but can
has the program time machine so your data can always be being backed up as long as you haave the external hard drive. A good My Book maybe 500 Gb would be great.
With that HD and that program or app you can feel safer.
The cons are few to me, one is the applecare protection plan does not cover accidental damage, but does cover three years of phone support and 3 of hardware support
their online support is excellent as well, for just about anything Mac related
apple has one of the best rated phone service in the industry
you want to have maybe a magic or mighty mouse. Magic mouse takes getting used to but is neat. The mighty mouse is just great and not too much. You can get a wired or wireless keyboard.
You may want to get the iWork suite which I think you are familiar with. Kinda replace word, excel and that other one micro sells…
Magsafe adaptor.
Another example, just do a google search of benefits of a mac and then do the same for pc, compare the results then do the same with virus for mac and then again for pc and see the number for pc and how much higher it is and how much more prone pc’s are to getting them.
If you still want pc, you can install it right on your mac, but install an internet suite if you choose that option.
I think it must be jealousy when people make remarks about macs because most of them wouldn’tbe able to tell you anything about them cause they never used them.
