What is the difference between Flash Storage in a Macbook Air as opposed to a Hard Drive?
I am trying to compare the Macbook and Macbook air and i do not understand the difference or what is better??
admin answers:
Well the HD is a moving part, if you were to drop the computer you run the risk of scratching and ruining the hard drive. The Flash Drive is all stored digitally. There are no moving parts (Think of it as a flash drive inside your computer).
Also, for some reason, the Flash Memory seems to be boosting the performance capabilities of these computers. Reaction time and loading of pages like youtube and other bandwidth demanding sites is much quicker even when multitasking with a bunch of pages.
I’m guessing you are asking about the new MacBook air. I have been looking into and and I think it is a great buy. Get the 4gigs of RAM instead of the 2 if this is what you are considering.
Good luck

How much would I have to pay a month for a MacBook Air?
I have a brother who has a MacBook air and has to pay about $80 over about a year to pay the computer off. I want to get an 11 inch MacBook Air for $999. Would I still have to pay $80 a month, or will it be cheaper?
admin answers:
Currently their deals are no interest for 12 months on orders over $599 and 6 months on everything else. So to figure out what you have to pay, take your total and divide it by 12 (since that order would be over $599). So 999/12 = $83.25 per month for 12 months, tax will make it slightly higher than that so figure about $85 per month.

What is better, the new macbook or air 2010 or the MacBook pro?
I am interested in a new MacBook, but I am a little confused about which one. I love the MacBook pro, but I haven’t actually seen or used the MacBook air. Which
One would you recommend?
admin answers:
It really all depends on what you need you a computer, realistically, you may want to consider another option totally. All mac’s are made with a certain, buyer group in mind, and so depending on what group you fall into.
If you are going to be a traveler, and need a great companion for your travels, get the macbook air. Its light, thin, and full of power for short plane trips or car rides, but be careful. Depending on the amount of flash memory you get included with your air, it can run out fast, leaving you with a laptop you cant save or download things too.
If your a big power user, then the pro is the laptop apples has made for you. But before you get excited, determine if you are really a power user, or not. The pro is designed for hardcore power, video editing, and major photoshop. If you will be doing alot of this kind of thing, then get the pro.
If you fall into apples final group, the general user, then look at the regular white macbook. I know its not as as pretty looking as the pro and the air, but honestly that’s its mine difference. Its a very powerful machine, which is made for daily computing like web browsing, video streaming, unloading photos, or writing word docs. This computer will get basic processes done without any problem. And for the price drop, many of us can settle for the lower end material.
Hope i was able to help!

I’am planning to buy am macbook air. But i had a confusion about choosing its colour. Is black is better than white or white is better than black interms of looks I’am planning to buy am macbook air. But i had a confusion about choosing its colour. Is black is better than white or white is better than black interms of looks
admin answers:
In terms of psychology, black is associated with power and class, white is associated with innocence.
In terms of personal preference, I prefer black.
In terms of practicality, black will look nicer in comparison to white which will make smudges and the like more salient.
